The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced palliative care nurse to be part of a specialist team who provides a consult service at Cabrini Health. We are currently seeking a highly motivated suitably qualified nurse with exceptional clinical skills.
The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of contemporary palliative care practices, able to anticipate patient and family needs and work with teams within the acute and subacute services within and outside of Cabrini Health to ensure a seamless patient and family experience. The Palliative Care Consult and Liaison Nurse works closely with the Palliative Care Consultants, Director of Medicine– Cabrini Palliative Care Services and is supported by and reports to the Nurse Manager Palliative Homecare.
Key Capabilities
- Current AHPRA nursing registration
- Clinical experience in palliative care nursing
- Highly developed communication and organisational skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft office and IT systems
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative Multi-Disciplinary team
- Ability to work within the Mission and Values of the organization
Desired
- Has obtained or is working towards tertiary Qualifications in oncology / palliative care
- Experience in education and/or quality in health services would be advantageous
