About the position

Uniting AgeWell Nangatta are a seeking  Registered Nurses to contribute to and assist with the coordination of high standards of care and other services for clients and their families.

With a strong focus on enhancing client wellbeing, the ideal candidate will be reliable and adaptable, motivated and committed to the provision of quality care and continuous improvement. A sound knowledge of ACFI documentation and Commonwealth standards, and the capacity to work well autonomously and in a team environment are essential.

Leadership and supervision of Personal Care Workers and EN staff is required as is  the promotion of a harmonious team approach to the delivery of resident care.

About the role

To be responsible for managing the facility in the after hours

To ensure that all care provided to resident's is individualized, and is in accordance with their care plan

To ensure that staff provide care that is in accordance with UA policies and procedures and the Aged Care Standards

To provide direct nursing care to residents with complex care needs

Skills and experience

Registered Nurse with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency

Comprehensive knowledge and experience in residential aged care with a clear commitment to achieving contemporary best practice

Experience in safety in the Aged Care or Health Sectors

Evidence of commitment to ongoing self-education since completion of basic nursing qualification

Evidence of further education / studies relevant to residential aged care
