About the role
Provide clinical assessment, counselling, case work, group work and therapeutic support to children, participating in a new project called Keeping Safe Together for family violence prevention and family safety. The position may also provide secondary consultation to staff of LifeWorks and Women's Health West and other Western agencies.
Responsibilities will include:
- provision of direct support, counselling, family therapy, case management for children impacted by family violence, in collaboration with other therapeutic practitioners;
- provision of therapeutic counselling and group work interventions;
- participation in clinical supervision;
- project development; and
- design and facilitate therapeutic group programs for children, if required.
About you
With tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or a Behavioural / Social Science and / or postgraduate studies in family therapy and a minimum of 5 years' experience, you will be proficient in children / family counselling and supervision, and working in teams. You will have the ability to contribute to the provision of exceptional counselling services and to promote the profile of LifeWorks in the community.
A professional in your field, you can work independently while working within a cohesive, committed and high performing team. Together with your exceptional level of ethical standards and well-developed interpersonal communication skills, you will have the capacity to manage and ensure high standards of practice.
Previous experience working in a human services environment would be highly regarded.
