With the completion of their recent Hydrogen Feasibility Study, our internationally recognised client has need for an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer / E&I Engineer for their upcoming Oil & Gas projects.
 
This represents a fantastic opportunity based in Melbourne for you to secure your next step up.
 
Minimum 6 months contract, and if proven as a worthy employee, prospect for a permanent extension. The successful candidate will be based in Melbourne and work collaboratively within a project design team, and be involved in leading the electrical design for a number of oil and gas projects and clients in Victoria and South Australia.
 
Your responsibilities in the role:

• Undertake reviews of electrical and instrumentation requirements of P&ID’s
• Review 3D models and drawings / Review and integrate vendor documentation
• Help implement SEAL requirements such as sustainable design, safety in design, and technical integrity
• Provide onsite technical support and perform site inspections, functionality testing and commissioning documentation

 
You will have:

• 7+ years’ experience in the onshore Hydrocarbon/Oil & Gas resources sector
• Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering degree (or equivalent) recognised by Engineers Australia
• Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment
• Understanding of relevant Australian and International Standards, AS2885 AS3000 AS/NZS 60079, AS/NZS 4853 plus other relevant standards related to high and medium pressure gas transmission facilities
• Brownfields engineering experience
