About the Role
This Executive role is an exciting opportunity for a pragmatic and experienced senior Risk Professional to drive consistent and integrated risk management practices across the business from a strategic to operational level.
Alongside the CEO, the Head of Risk is responsible for the establishment, maintenance, communication and execution of the organisation’s Credit Risk appetite, policies, practises and reporting.
The role also oversees the organisation’s compliance regime with the National Compliance Manager reporting into this position. This role holds accountability for the organisation’s full adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
Working collaboratively with the Board, Executives and Managers across the business, the role acts a strategic partner, adding value and supporting the achievement of strategic and operational initiatives across the business.
About You
The successful candidate will possess considerable leadership experience in a senior role, with broad and relevant working experience within the financial services industry.
A demonstrated understanding of credit portfolio management for both retail and non-retail business, together with strong knowledge of banking regulations, lending policies and loan risk factors is required.
Commercially astute with a pragmatic and hands on approach, you will thrive on taking ownership and accountability with drive, enthusiasm and resilience, to achieve end results in our flat fast-paced structure.
Previous experience executing multiple projects at the same time, balancing competing priorities and influence others is essential. You will be required to utilize your extensive risk and compliance experience to deliver insights, efficiencies and business outcomes across the business.
