We’re Australia’s leading technical events company and we’re on the lookout for an experienced and sales driven Venue Sales Manager to join our venue team in Sydney.
In this key role you will be based at one of our in-house venues and responsible for (in conjunction with the Event Staging Manager) managing the sales efforts of the office. This includes meeting with clients, designing the technology elements of the event, negotiating the proposal with client, allocating sales leads and supporting your team to convert all opportunities. This position is responsible for driving the relationship with the venue sales team and has a focus on proactive selling. The Sales Manager will develop and execute our sales strategy for the venue while leading our onsite sales team. In addition this position will seek out new revenue channels and contribute to new product offerings.

What we’re looking for
- Sound understanding of audiovisual products
- Five (5) years of audiovisual, hotel sales experience
- Customer centric and excellent relationship management skill
- Ability to translate client requirements into job specifications
- Ability to switch between business development and in bound sales
- Proposal writing skills
- Excellent negotiation skill
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- People management/leadership skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Maturity to deal with people at all levels of the organisation including, General Managers and Directors of Sales
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
- Well groomed for 5 star venue
- Work right in Australia is required
