Media Officer required on a contract basis within a large public sector business. Brisbane CBD.

Your new company
This large public sector organisation requires an experienced marketing professional to join their team in a Media Officer capacity.


Your new role
This position is accountable for supporting the operational delivery of media strategies and plans for organisation's projects and initiatives, to identify and coordinate proactive media and PR activities, and to respond to media enquiries in liaison with key stakeholders across the organisation.

• Contribute to the identification, development and delivery of media and public relations strategies
• Research, write, distribute and evaluate a range of content, including articles, media releases, community announcements, talking points and media responses
• Monitor the social and traditional media environment and advise key staff and stakeholders of emerging issues

What you'll need to succeed

• Sound knowledge of current public and media relations industry trends, and proven ability to liaise with various media outlets to ensure positive media coverage for diverse projects.
• Ability to deliver various media and public relations materials to ensure brand is maintained.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships to influence a diverse range of stakeholders in a customer-focused environment.
