About the Role
The purpose of this role is to lead accountable site based Operational Network Team performance, goal setting and measurement, site stakeholder relationship management as well as assist in the provision of network and server support and problem escalation services for AGL’s Operational Network.
This role is also responsible for implementation of new technologies within AGL’s Operational Networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Team Leadership - Day to day leadership of site Operational IT Engineers
- Network Systems Support - Provide technical support for Operational Network switches, routers and firewalls. Optimise configuration and function of Operational Network switches, routers and firewalls.
- Server Management - Support operating system and application configuration of Operational Network servers. Support the Operational Network Active Directory domains, databases, and operational server hardware and plant historians. Provision of specialist on-call technical knowledge and after-hours support for critical systems as defined by the business.
- Operational Network Systems Security - Proactive monitoring of Operational Network systems security. Reporting of any suspicious activity to AGL IT Security.
About You
- Advanced Cisco router, switch, and firewall support skills (CCNP certification or equivalent experience)
- Understanding of common routing protocols OSPF, BGP, RIP
- Working knowledge of IT security practices and Advanced Microsoft OS and applications support skills
- Advanced virtual environment support skills and Storage Area Network support skills
- Ability to administer and effectively make use of Active Directory and knowledge of remote desktop implementation
