A key business unit in Australia is our Government Security Operations Centre that operates out of Canberra. We are currently looking for a self-motivated, Professional Services candidate who is interested in the challenges of IT Security consulting with a particular focus on Project Management and process administration and implementation within a complex security infrastructure environment.
The successful candidate will have excellent Project Management ability, ideally coming from experience working within the Government sector and have solid experience in process development, administration and workflow management.
As a Professional Services Project Management Consultant, your main responsibilities will involve a solid understanding and ability to deliver the following:
- To act as expert consultant in the management of projects, including the functions of scope management, budget and cost management, quality control of deliverables, schedule, resource and communication management and competent risk and issue management
- Management of several projects at once, multi-tasking and managing your own time as well as project resources, according to project and customer requirements
- Develop detailed project schedules from high level, presales estimates
- Lead engineering resources assigned to project to ensure project outcomes are meet to schedule and in budget
- Develop client relationships through strong communication skills
- Work with Managed Services teams and ensure smooth transition and handover to operation support as part of implementation
- Manage complex implementation and testing activities in accordance with client maintenance/change windows.
- Adhere to and enforce Change Management procedures, drive creation and completion of successful changes
- Efficient project delivery in a fast paced organisation
To be considered, your skills and qualifications will include:
- Current Australian Federal Government security clearance at NV1 minimum (required)
- Industry certification such as PMP, Prince2, Agile and/or ITIL highly desirable
- Strong project experience on network and security infrastructure projects, in a structured project environment, delivering high complexity network and security infrastructure solutions.
- Demonstrate sound written and oral communications skills, be articulate in explanations, and communicate in a clear positive fashion with internal and external stakeholders, clients, and suppliers, covering highly complex solutions
- Understanding of the range of standards, guidelines, policies, and best practices affecting deployment of IT security technology
- Ability to collect and analyse requirements in order to develop project Statements of Work (SOW) and schedules including understanding of scope, costs, resource requirements, timeframes and inter-relating project management functions
- Demonstrate experience in developing and writing quality management plan, acceptance test plans and implementation strategies
- Understanding of ITIL processes.
Additional Qualifications (highly preferable):
- Bachelors’ degree, majoring in Computer Science, Electrical, Computer, Communications, or System Engineering, or related fields.
- Understanding of Australian Federal Government Security Management Framework and Policies
- Knowledge of networking / secure gateway infrastructure in relevant products (eg. Cisco, Palo Alto, F5) is desirable
