My client are a utilities service provider who are getting started on a project that is part of the Bushfire Royal Commission findings. They are set to change 70km of overhead wires in rural Victoria so that they become underground wires.

They require a contractor to join the project team in an admin and data entry capacity for the next 3 months, with the possibility of the contract extending into 2019.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Dropbox compliance documentation from contractors (SWMS, MSDS, inductions, daily reports, licences, etc.)
  • Entering daily reporting data into summary tracking workbook
  • Receiving fortnightly reports from civil contractors and querying any discrepancies to daily reports and HV planned metres
  • Sending weekly report with ground conditions
  • Entering surveyor data into tracking sheet
  • Assisting with auditing and HSE setup where appropriate
  • Assist the PM and the Project Controller with other editing and admin tasks

The role is primarily based in their western suburbs office (in Ardeer, near Sunshine), with occassional travel required to their site office near Kyneton. This travel will be in conjunction with the project team, so you won't be required to drive yourself.

My client would like to get someone started in the next 2-3 weeks (within the month of July). The initial contract terms will be 3-4 months, but this is a major project which will have ongoing work, so there is a possibility of this contract extending beyond 6 months.

The successful applicant:

  • Will be available to start a new role this month
  • Has proven experience in data entry and general administrative tasks
  • Will have strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Will be confident in liaising with contractors and consultants

  • Have had exposure to the civil construction industry

This role is paying approx $28 + super p/hour, depending on your experience
