About the role

You will get to know the removals industry inside and out with plenty of training and assistance along the way.

Your key tasks will be:-

  • Answering phones and being the first point of contact for new, present and past customers
  • Replying to and sending emails
  • Database entry
  • Taking payments, emailing receipts, raising invoices
  • Assistance with truck maintenance scheduling
  • Organise staff meetings and tool box talks
  • Keep all Policies and procedures up to date with AFRA (Australian Furniture Removals Association)
  • Assistance with the oversight of jobs by speaking with the customers over the phone or via text message
  • Ordering of boxes and packaging materials with our supplier Visy
  • Assistance with marketing and sales
  • Ordering of staff uniforms
  • keeping stock levels high for marketing material
  • Letting your creative side flair with new marketing campaign ideas
  • Assistance with website and social media updates
  • Assistance with all admin duties involved in organising jobs and staff.
  • Dealing with unhappy customers and damage claims

Skills and experience

We require the applicant to be :-

  • Over the age of 21
  • 5 years exp. in an office environment
  • Level 3 or above clerical
  • Energetic
  • Highly motivated
  • Clear english
  • Sales and or marketing experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Patience when dealing with customers
  • Helpful to all
  • Well presented
  • Self starter
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Moderate typing speed
  • Excellent time management
  • Excellent grammar
  • Must have past job references
