About the position

The Lifestyle Manager will consult with UA managers, staff, residents and relatives to identify current and emerging client needs and preferences and to develop a strategy for a UA lifestyle program that enhances client quality of life.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing initiatives to lead the strategic direction of the lifestyle program, as well as providing coordination and direction to lifestyle staff to ensure that the requirements of the Aged Care Quality Standards are met or exceeded.

With excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and a commitment to engaging with residents, their families and staff, the successful candidate will have experience in all aspects of lifestyle program development.

About the role

Developing a strategy and supporting plans to lead the strategic direction of the lifestyle program across Uniting AgeWell.

Providing coordination and direction for lifestyle staff to ensure that the requirements of the Single Quality Standards are met or exceeded

Ensuring provision of tools to assist all UA staff to provide effective lifestyle services for residents including planning, implementing and evaluating the activities/therapy program in consultation with residents, relatives and staff.

Skills and experience

Evidence of management of aged care services which includes lifestyle staff and programs

Evidence of further education / studies relevant to residential aged care

Experience in safety in the Aged Care or Health Sectors

Experience and expertise in the development of lifestyle programs which engage residents and enhance wellbeing
