We have Casual Support Worker opportunities available in our Lismore Hub.
New Horizons is a great place to work and grow. Many of our casual staff join our full time and part time teams!
These positions involve shift work, and you will need to be available to work flexible shifts that may include a combination of mornings, evenings, nights, sleepovers and weekends.

Based in Lismore, you will report to the Team Leader in our Supportive and Caring team.
The Day to Day

Providing a person centred approach to help customers achieve their goals and aspirations

Contributing information for the development of Customer support plans
-
Providing support to customers with personal care, living skills, transport, social activities, medication and other support as required

Keeping customer records up to date on a daily basis using online systems
-
Developing and maintain professional relationships and networks with customers, families, caregivers and key stakeholders

With support & guidance from the Team Leader, seek out innovative ways to enhance the customer journey

Managing some challenging behaviours
What you need to have:
As well as being a person centred super star you'll have:

Passion, Respect & Integrity
-
Minimum Cert IV in Mental Health or Disability or equivalent industry experience or Lived Experience
-
Availability to work across a 7 day rotating roster (open to some flexibility)

Valid NSW Drivers C class licence, with ability to drive vehicles in licence class, including large cars and vans. (Transporting our customers)

Technical literacy with proven ability to use Microsoft Office and systems for reporting

Punctual, Non-judgmental, Flexible

Willingness to obtain an Australian Federal Police Check, (or hold one that was processed in the last 6 months),
-
WWCC and first aid certificate
