About the Role….

Our North Brisbane team are seeking a PCA who has experience in the Home Care industry, and who is committed to ensuring the highest possible standard of in home care for our valued clients. This is a casual position, and we need someone who has availability to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday with the option for additional hours.  

Some of the duties required by the Personal Care Assistant include (not inclusive):

Personal & Domestic Care -

• Provide consumer directed care services to clients as prescribed in the clients care plan
• Assist clients with ADL's to help maintain an independent lifestyle
• Assist clients with nutrition and hydration needs as required
• Assist clients with mobility and transfers
• Ensure the clients wellbeing is considered at all times by working under the wellness and re-ablement philosophy
• Actively participate in care plan development, including performing assessments, documenting client progress and ensuring the clients ever changing needs are being met
• Assist clients with general domestic duties as prescribed in the clients’ care plan 
• Assist clients with food preparation and cooking of meals
• Provide assistance with laundry duties as required
• Ensure clients home is hygienic and a safe environment that supports the promotion of independence  
• Assists client with emotional, cultural and spiritual needs
• Support the clients' interests and rights to actively participate in the community and make choices suitable to their needs

About the Successful Candidate….

The successful person for this position will have:

• Minimum Certificate 3 in Aged Care or Home and Community care or equivalent
• Experience working in the Home Care sector, particularly with Home Care Packages and CHSP funded care services.
• A current First Aid & CPR certificate or willing to obtain prior to commencement
• A clear federal criminal history check, or willing to obtain prior to commencement
• High level of passion and enthusiasm to work within the community service industry
• Genuine empathy with elderly clients and the ability to think creatively and develop solutions to daily challenges
• The commitment to represent ComLink with pride and help us lead the care revolution.
