About St John's Youth Services
St John's Youth Services provides accommodation and related support services for young people who are in crisis or experiencing homelessness. Our services include: apartment-based youth crisis service, youth110; SA's first Foyer accommodation complex, Ladder Port Adelaide Foyer; and the Next Step and Keeping my Place outreach programs.
About the role
We are seeking a part-time Case Worker, responsible for direct support and service delivery in our 24/7 accommodation service, Ladder Port Adelaide Foyer. This is a shift work position.
Duties/responsibilities
- Responsible to the Foyer Service Manager for providing an environment of care to enhance young people's social and living skills, and meet their physical, emotional and developmental needs
- Contribute to the delivery of services to young people that facilitate their development and progression towards independence
- Meet young people’s Stay Strong Plans
- Facilitate age-appropriate independent living
- Support developmental aspirations
- Encourage personal growth, community involvement, social and recreational activities
Qualifications
- A degree in Social Work or allied profession
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Driver's Licence
- DCSI Child Related and Vulnerable Person's Screening
