TaylorCare has partnered with one of the largest not-for-profit community service providers in NSW with a rich history of providing services to the community for more than 100 years. 

This is a management role within the Out of Home Care and working in Western Sydney and covering regional NSW too and is responsible the management of Out of Home Care / Permanency Support programs across the organisation so that all programs’ vision, philosophy and day to day practice are consistent and meet the needs of vulnerable children, young people and their families. 
  
The position has operational and duty of care responsibility for all authorised foster and kinship carers, staff members, and children and young people in the foster care and aftercare program.

To be eligible to apply:
  • Degree in psychology or social work (Master level qualifications preferably) with substantial (10 plus years) leadership experience, professional qualifications and expertise in operations where this relates to working with vulnerable children, young people and their families
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing strategic partnerships, and achieving common desired outcomes with relevant communities 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people; develop and maintain motivated, professional and effective work team/s in a diverse work environment
  • Sound understanding of issues affecting disadvantaged children and young people, their families and communities.
  • Demonstrated excellence in working with Aboriginal people, families and organisations and planning, delivering and evaluating services in a culturally competent manner.
  • Proven ability to prepare funding submissions, obtain funding and develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate services
  • Sound financial management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A current driver’s licence with ability to travel to meet the operational needs of the different sites
  • Project Management skills
  • Community development experience and skills
Your role will involve the following
  • Provide efficient and effective management of the Out of Home Care team
  • Drive and manage the transition as part of OOHC recommissioning to a Permanency Support service that emphasises restoration as the preferred long term option for children who come into care;
  • Lead the review and implementation of policies and procedures that form the framework of the Permanency Support program.
  • Drive and manage changes in the organisation structure that supports the Permanency Support program.
  • Ensure service delivery partnerships are developed with external service providers and organisations including government and other non-government providers.
  • Work in support of other Uniting functions and teams to foster coordination across the organisation, avoiding duplication, standardizing on efficient processes and delivering continuous improvement

Salary package on offer is $150,000 - $160,000 per annum which includes super + salary packaging and other benefits depending on qualifications and experience.
