Established in 1992, Hear and Say is one of the leading paediatric Auditory-Verbal and Implantable Technologies centres in the world. Our vision is for a stronger community by intervening early to support those affected by hearing loss with a specific focus on children and families. Our success lies in the vital role that parents/caregivers play in teaching their children to listen and speak. Hear and Say is located in a $12m state-of-the-art hearing centre close to the Brisbane CBD. The centre provides opportunities for expanding our work and engaging with different sectors through new business opportunities.
This position is pivotal to Hear and Say’s continued growth of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service. The NDIS Coordinator will help shape our family centred services, generate new NDIS business and increase NDIS customer referrals by -
- Support facilitation and implementation of Hear and Say’s clients’ NDIS readiness.
- Ensure clinical staff have the most current NDIS information.
- Assist families to identify the goals they would like to achieve and articulate their support needs to apply for their NDIS plan.
- Promote Hear and Say as a quality service provider for people eligible for services under NDIS.
We invite you to apply if you have –
- Experience in the disability sector coupled with a working knowledge of the NDIS or can demonstrate an ability to come up to speed quickly.
- Exemplary customer service experience or demonstrate similar attributes.
- Degree in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology or Human Services or related discipline will be viewed favourably.
- Proven project management, relationship management and strong communication and business development skills.
- Demonstrated strong experience in stakeholder engagement and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies.
- Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, high volume work environment.
- Current drivers licence is essential.
- Eligibility to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
