Our company is Australian owned and based in St. Marys.
This role will mostly involve forklift work, and is a pivotal role for our company. You may be asked to perform other duties such as packing, (max 15kg at a time). This is a casual role working 38 hours a week on an ongoing basis.
You will need:
- a valid forklift license and at least 2 years experience
- 5 high drive in racking experience
- attention to detail
- to be either a permanent resident or has a valid visa to work in Australia.
- to be fit & healthy to deal with the physical work
- being able to prioritise your work, that is, keeping an eye on 3 packing lines, making sure that you keep feeding the packing material pallets to the front of the lines and removing the finished product pallets from the end of the lines. Shrinkwrapping the pallets, filling out the paperwork and storing these pallets in the drive in racking.
- to be able to read, write & speak English well
- must be able to work in Australia & have a valid forklift license
- must be easygoing and can work as part of a team
There may be some heavy lifting involved so please do not apply if you have an existing back or neck injury or lifting restrictions. This job is not for people looking for a non active, slow paced job.
We have a role that is very fast paced and requires someone who stays calm under pressure. You will be looking up a lot as you are loading and unloading drive in racking. You will also be getting on and off the forklift frequently to wrap the pallets and complete paperwork.
Experience with counter balance Toyota forklifts is a huge advantage, as is experience with drive in racking that is 5 deep and 5 high. Previous work within a food factory and experience with GMP and HACCP will be highly regarded.
