The Role
Reporting to the Group QA Manager you co-ordinate the Quality Facilitaor - Supplier Approval Program to meet company, customer and regulatory requirements. You'll also liaise with the Corporate Purchasing Dept, New Product Development Department, Finance Department and Legal Departments to collate the required information to approve suppliers and their goods & services. As well as Conducting assessments on the supplier goods and services to determine compliance with regulatory requirements such as Australian Food Safety legislation and Export Market Access.
Essential Criteria
- Qualified External Food Safety Auditor or equivalent
- Be familiar with legislative requirements for food processing including those of the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources, Australian State Food Authorities and FSANZ
- Understanding of Global Food Safety Standards such as BRC, SQF
- Ability to research food ingredient and chemical components for domestic and international regulatory compliance including potential food fraud substitution
- Knowledge of and experience in Quality Management Systems
Preferred Criteria
- Knowledge of international market access requirements
- Knowledge of food labelling legislation both Australian and international
- Be familiar with the use of the AFGC Vital Tool (Voluntary Incidental Trace Allergen Labelling)
- Experience in use of JDE & I leader document management systems or similar
