Excellent opportunity for a highly skilled professional to work within our client’s Project Management team as a Senior Contracts Officer.


This position will support the development phases of multiple packages of work potentially across several projects within the mining industry.


Based in the Adelaide Office, this position will report to the Commercial Manager Project Management. You will be accountable for the day-to-day administration of contracts and assist the Project Managers and Package Managers to carry out their obligations and responsibilities in relation to the contracts, policies, procedures, budget and schedule for the project.


To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in the negotiation and administration of project contracts.


You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be a team player who demonstrates a high level of accountability, initiative and attention to detail.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Procurement planning for the project schedule
• Prequalification of vendors, managing the competitive tender process and evaluation of a preferred tenderer
• Preparation of contract planning and recommendations for approval to tender and execute contracts
• Contract advice and support to Project Managers and Package Managers
• Administration of contracts including progress claims, variations and deliverables
• Financial reporting including forecasting and budget tracking and contract reconciliations

Required Skills:

• Two years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong negotiation skills
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commercial Law (Desirable)
• Advanced MS suite skills
• Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
