About the role
We are looking for experienced Wind Turbine Technician's for various assignments located within South Australia, Victoria & New South Wales. You must be willing to travel at short notice & live away for 2-4 weeks at a time.
Duties include but not limited to;
- Perform inspection of wind turbines and components
- Perform scheduled & unscheduled service / maintenance activities
- Perform and ensure the proper maintenance and fault finding of assets
- Report errors, incidents or issues to site manager
- Verify that the work is completed in compliance with clients requirements
- Interpret the requirements of manuals, specifications, bulletins, work instructions, etc. and devise work plans
- Maintain reports using various software management tools and databases
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the organisation's JSA, LOTO, HSE and any associated policies/procedures
- Form part of an on call roster to work weekends if required
Position will initially be a 3 month contract with view to full time for right candidate.
Skills and experience
- Qualified electrician or a qualified mechanic with electrical aptitude preferred. Must be proficient in fault finding electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment
- Must have positive attitude and the ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
- Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic environment
- Able to pass Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol Screen
- Commitment and adherence to safety and environmental requirements
- Current Drivers License
- White Card
- Current First Aid
- Working at Heights
- Ability to live and work in Australia.
Previous experience in a wind farm environment is a must.
