Neptune Asset Integrity Services provides non-destructive testing and inspection services to the oil and gas industry, along with clients from the refining and mining industries in Australia. In addition, Neptune provides repair and maintenance services with a particular emphasis on difficult to access locations utilising their specialised rope access techniques.   

Neptune currently has an opportunity for a Project Coordinator (Inspection & Testing) based in Perth to join our team.    

Primary responsibilities of the role include:  
  • Ensure the safe and efficient project coordination, execution and completion of NDT, inspection & testing activities, including cost control in Australia
  • Improve productivity by increasing focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness of work processes
  • Liaise with clients in relation to client requests, problem solving and project delivery, and foster new relationships to build the profile of NAI in Australia
  • Maximise usage of all personnel through effective resource scheduling using existing tools and processes
  • Accountable to ensure teams are accurately informed of work scope, documentation requirements, safety requirements and communication lines
  • Review and monitor inspection job / project daily reports within remit for information accuracy and to identify potential risks/ issues
  • Responsible for the timely issuance and correctness of test reports to clients with the ability to technically review incoming work requests, test procedures and test reports
  • Manage staff training, proficiency testing, assessment of technical competence and the authorisation of personnel to carry out and report testing within positional remit
  • Manage the Verification of Competency (VOC) scheme in accordance with NATA
  • Responsible for compliance with ISO9001 Quality Management System, related NATA Accreditations and other accreditations as assigned within positional remit 
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
  • Awareness of safety requirements in an industrial processing, mine site or offshore environment
  • +5 years experience at Level 2 in Inspection/NDT disciplines
  • Experience with proficiency testing and VOC processes
  • Effective team manager    
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Technical report writing skills
  • Ability to work with clients (office and site)
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage personal stress levels and those of staff in high pressure / offshore environments
  • Current and valid Australian Work Rights
