As an ALDI Store Management Trainee you need to be able to juggle multiple things at once, motivate others and keep calm under pressure. You'll be hands on in your approach and enjoy physical work - this is not an office based management program. Previous management or supervisory experience in a fast paced environment is a plus, however the right attitude, thirst for learning and a proactive and results driven approach is just as important. You will be responsible for:
- Learning every aspect of running a store
- Assisting store management in driving sales and achieving targets, while controlling costs and losses
- Serving customers and taking payments
- Helping with supervision, training and development of staff
- Maintaining and replenishing stock
- Ordering and maintaining stock availability
*Includes superannuation. Remuneration varies depending on location, contracted hours and ALDI experience.
Special Note from the Hiring Manager:
The standard career path for this role is: 3 years Store Management Trainee earning $54,111 to $60,639 per year based on length of service. If you're successful, then at least 2 years in an Assistant Store Manager role earning approximately $65k to $79k per year based on length of service, store size and contract size. Finally, if you've proven you can perform 80% of your role on the front line, working on tills and refilling the shelves with your team whilst achieving your KPIs and targets you'll become an ALDI Store Manager earning approximately $71k to $110k per year based on length of service, store size and contract size.
We are looking for high performing supervisor/leaders with high potential who want to one day run their own supermarket with long term career earning potential well over $100k per year. This role is the first step on that journey. The Store Management Trainee programme is a 3-year fixed term contract where you'll prove you have what it takes to be successful at ALDI. Succeed here and you'll be set for life. Be warned though, it hands-on and it's tough.
