Part of Wesfarmers your role will consist of effectively running a store, maximising profits and customer experiences while minimising costs in line with Target’s values
Areas you will influence:
- Deliver top line sales with return on capital increasing EBIT
- Inspire a team mindset to deliver sales improvements, set store standards and processes with a customer first approach
- Own the induction, coaching and development of team members to create a high performing team with clear measures, development plans and supported mechanisms
- Develop productive relationships with external parties in your operating environment
- Understand financials, analyse variances and initiate corrective actions to build store sales activity that support your customer shopping habits
- Lead the Target vision, strategy and values within the team and across the organisation
- Accountable for a safe workplace by identifying and reporting safety concerns and leading by example by maintaining a safe working environment and demonstrating safe working behaviour
Skills and Experience required:
- Large retail store management experience in mass merchandising
- A proven track record of building and increasing sales and profits is essential
- Competent in all aspects of store operations and financial management
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead and engage team members to interact with the customers and influence store sales activity
- Excellent relationship skills including people and customer engagement
- Resilient and adaptable, showing an ability to drive change
