This is an exciting opportunity to join Australia’s best in-house PR team (Mumbrella CommsCon and PRIA Golden Target Awards 2017). This diverse role will manage both CSR and government relations, including parliamentary enquiries on a range of national issues, with advocacy at the heart of everything you do.

Each day you come to work at finder.com.au, you will be sitting in a comfortable Aeron chair and working at a comfortable workstation in our stunning Sydney CBD office. The kitchen is well stocked with healthy snacks, drinks, fresh fruit and catered lunches are provided daily.



Who are you?
 
A key member of the PR team, you will be responsible for building and executing on an effective and systematic CSR strategy that aligns with finder’s purpose. You’ll also provide expertise, advice and direction to support finder’s current and future CSR efforts while helping to build a favourable public image.

You will have a passion for government relations. You will be required to stay abreast of government policies, inquiries and changes and project manage submissions accordingly. Furthermore, you’ll proactively identify opportunities and initiatives that get finder into relevant conversations. Instigating positive change is your lifeblood and you won’t stop until this is achieved!

You’ll be an excellent communicator and true team player, with an endless supply of energy and ideas. In addition, you enjoy keeping abreast of industry trends, newsworthy content and insights that can add value to our PR strategies and goals.


Requirements:
  • To develop and execute an effective CSR program encompassing environment, workplace, community and marketplace issues that will deliver agreed CSR targets
  • To establish a mechanism and strategy to engage employees and promote the CSR program internally
  • Prepare detailed submissions that address terms of reference and make recommendations that reflect the values of finder
  • Check the status of submissions and provide additional evidence or comment as required
  • To ensure effective communication methods are in place to communicate business ethics, CSR projects and performance
  • To act as the knowledge leader and expert for CSR at finder
  • Ensure finder’s CSR initiatives are authentic, clear and consistent
  • Monitor industry trends and modify finder’s CSR initiatives as required
  • Inspire positive social impact and change for the wider community
  • Make finder’s purpose publicly known and respected
  • Get finder into government and industry conversations that deliver better outcomes for Australians
  • Enhance, protect and support the reputation and commercial objectives of finder through a comprehensive program of stakeholder engagement, anticipating key issues, proactively managing the legislative, regulatory and policy agenda


Experience and Skills:
  • Extensive experience in CSR and/or government relations
  • A genuine desire to make positive social impact and contributions to the wider community
  • Degree in PR or relevant qualification
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and project skills
  • Highly organised and keen eye for detail with a history of delivering high-quality submissions
  • Motivated and proactive
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to assist the PR team with ad hoc projects and to reach its goals
  • Flexibility to work outside of business hours as required
  • Goal driven with a never-give-up attitude
