To support the University’s strategic development within the next five years, the University’s School of Science and Engineering (SSE) is making significant investments in new academic positions. The SSE’s department of Natural Resources Engineering and Management is seeking enthusiastic and well-qualified candidates to fill in the position of Lecturer/ Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor, or Professor in Mining Engineering. The candidate would support the ongoing teaching activities at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University.
Minimum Qualifications:This prospective full-time faculty member will have the following minimum qualifications, skills and competencies:
Earned a master’s or doctorate in requested or related field and must be strongly committed to quality scholarly research. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated record of acceptances or publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to native-level English speakers. Areas of specialization are open, but preference will be given to applicants with expertise in Mining Engineering. Candidates with a minor in geological engineering and/or mineral economics are also encouraged to apply. Individuals with strong interests in advanced research are especially encouraged to apply. Experience also in engaging in collaborative partnerships with higher education institutions, education agencies, and/or the professional and scholarly discipline are preferred.
