The successful candidate will contribute, in particular, to the statistical analysis of linked administrative data-sets that incorporate information held by Careers Wales on the services which it has provided to its clients. It is envisaged that this data will be combined with other sources of data such as school records, participation in post compulsory education within both the FE and HE sectors and potentially information related to labour market outcomes. It is envisaged that the analysis of linked administrative data will encompass Counterfactual Impact Evaluation methodologies. In undertaking this research, the post holder will also assess the quality of data held by Careers Wales and will inform recommendations to improve data collection methods, analysis processes and service directions for Careers Wales to effectively obtain their strategic aims. The appointee will be required to work closely with other members of the project team both within WISERD, ADRC-Wales and Careers Wales.
Location: The successful candidate will be based within WISERD at Cardiff University.
