Overview
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic lecturer to join the Institute of Humanities to play a key role in the delivery of our popular Creative and Professional Writing programme. It offers the opportunity to join a lively, committed team and student cohort.
Our vision for Writing at Worcester is that it should provide an education that is in tune with fast-moving, professional writing environments. Alongside nurturing and developing individual creativity and direction, and writing know-how, development of students’ rigorous critical thinking is integral to their engagement with a wide range of inspirational published material.
The post provides an opportunity for a professional writer with experience of teaching at a university to join our growing, wider writing provision across the University. The successful candidate will have the capacity to contribute to current undergraduate teaching in Creative & Professional Writing, offer an established specialism in an area of creative writing, have expertise in theories of writing and be able to teach the application of critical theory to a variety of creative and professional writing contexts.
