The Department of Engineering and Design wishes to appoint either a Lecturer A or a Teaching Fellow in Ergonomics, Human Factors and Design. The successful candidate will be employed to teach modules on the Product Design course, and (for the Lecturer A post) pursue research in these area. Please refer to the Job Description documents for these two posts.
The successful candidate will need to have a very strong design profile, knowledge of ergonomics and human factors and a good grasp of visual communication. Experience of commercial-based design would be desirable, as would some familiarity with engineering design.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to supervise students across the full spectrum of design.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to gain experience in an expanding vibrant department within a very successful school and university.
