The Role and Duties
The Academic Services Administrator is responsible to the Academic Services Manager (Taught) for providing high quality professional support services to programme directors and other academic staff at the Essex Business School Colchester Campus, and will be expected to work in accordance with the School’s principles, values and behaviours.
The post-holder will provide administration services in relation to courses, modules, assessment and student records and will support the work of the administration team as a whole. They will contribute to effective communication and engagement within a culture of strong partnership working with academic staff and integrated cross-campus working within the School. They will also contribute to a culture of excellence in service delivery, sharing of best practice and continuous improvement in academic services.
Qualifications and Skills required
The successful candidate should be educated to A-Level or possess equivalent qualifications or experience. You should have recent administrative experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment, demonstrating the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks, whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent skills in customer services, communication, IT and administration are also essential for the post. You should also be committed to supporting the education of students in particular and attending to their needs.
This permanent, full-time post will be based at our Colchester Campus but occasional travel to the Southend Campus will be required to support personal, team and School development activities.
