Detail information about job Research Fellow (80795-087). Terms and conditions vacancy
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research fellow position to take responsibility for visualising the work produced by a large Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) grant. The post will be based at the University of Warwick in the Mathematics Institute and working with the Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies (CIM, www.warwick.ac.uk/cim). This post is available immediately. The end date will be 28 February 2017.
Many urgent policy issues concerning the control and elimination of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) can only be answered through high-quality quantitative modelling. Visualisation and graphics play a central role in the development and communication of that modelling. You will be key to the project, which with other researchers based in a consortium comprising Warwick and eleven other universities around the world, will undertake research into nine diseases commonly found in some of the poorest populations in the world.
The Warwick team is led by Deirdre Hollingsworth, Matt Keeling and Orin Courtenay. Applicants with expertise in the areas of visualisation, using the R statistical programming language, are encouraged to apply.
Further information on the neglected tropical diseases can be found on our website - www.ntdmodelling.org.
Applications via the HR website should include a CV and list of publications. All applicants should also send a research statement by email to Ann Hume (Departmental Secretary, Mathematics) at this email address: [email protected] and ensure that their 3 referees send their references to the same email address by the closing date.
Fixed Term Contract: 6 Months.
