We are seeking to appoint a well-trained, enthusiastic, and self-motivated postdoctoral research scientist to join Dr Omer Dushek's Wellcome Trust funded research team.
The project is focused on understanding how accessory surface receptors control T cell responses by inferring mechanisms from large-scale input/output type data. The post holder will develop algorithms to infer minimal mathematical models from large quantitative datasets of human T cell responses when presented with specific combinations of ligands to surface receptors (input/output type experiments). Candidates with previous experience in model inference, specifically with inference of ODE models from quantitative data would be especially welcome.
This project is part of a team effort whereby the post-holder will be working with experimental scientists to ensure that collected data is suitable for mathematical analysis. Therefore, the post holder must have a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team with good organisational and communication skills. The post holder must have a strong publication record. The post holder should hold a PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, computer science, physics or closely related field, or have equivalent experience.
