An opportunity has arisen for a graduate research/lab manager position in the Human Information Processing Lab directed by Professor Chris Summerfield in the Department of Experimental Psychology (EP) to work on a project investigating the neural and computational mechanisms of learning in humans.

The post is funded by an ERC grant for 36 months in the first instance.

The role will involve designing, conducting and disseminating research aimed at understanding how humans make decisions, as well as having administrative oversight of research in the Human Information Processing Lab. The postholder will have the opportunity to work independently in a team of researchers focussed on understanding learning and decision-making in humans, to use a range of behavioural, neuroimaging and computational methods. The research will be conducted in EP and at the Oxford Centre for Functional Imaging of the Brain (fMRIB), two world-leading research centres housing numerous groups with a strong focus on learning and decision-making.

Candidates will hold a good first degree together with relevant experience in visual perception and decision-making. Experience with designing and conducting experiments involving human participants, and strong quantitative and programming skills are essential for this role. You will also have some administrative experience, excellent communication and IT skills and the ability to use web-based resources.

You will be required to upload a covering letter explaining how you meet the job requirements, as well as a CV and details of two referees as part of your online application.
