Salary Range:
Research Assistant: £32,380 – £34,040 per annum
Research Associate: £36,800 – £44,220 per annum*
(Maximum salary on appointment will be £36,800 per annum)
Fixed-term, full-time appointment for 12 months in the first instance
Imperial College London is a leading technological university with a global reach. The Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College has selected Neurotechnology as a strategic development area.
The Human Robotics group (www.imperial.ac.uk/human-robotics) within the Department of Bioengineering carries out research at the interface of robotics and neuroscience, from neurophysiological studies and computational modelling to robotic implementations, VR-aided Neuro-rehabilitation and assistive devices.
Applications are invited for a Research Assistant/Associate post in the area of Neuroscience, Robotics and Neural Engineering, based in the Department of Bioengineering.
We are particularly interested in candidates with strong backgrounds in neuromechanics, human musculoskeletal kinematics and sensorimotor control & learning. The successful candidate must have a BSc, a first class honours (1st) MSc and a PhD (or equivalents) in Biomedical Engineering or a similar background and must also be proficient in programming with different software and programming languages. Good knowledge of robotics, human-machine interaction and robotic systems with cable actuation is also required. Machine Learning skills are a plus.
