As part of the University of Nottingham Apprenticeship Program the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science are looking to recruit an Apprentice Administrator, based at our Sutton Bonington Campus, Leicestershire.

The successful candidate will provide an opportunity to support the research and postgraduate administrative teams within the School (see Job Description/Role Profile for further details). The School is top-rated for both teaching and research and this role offers the opportunityto complete an apprenticeship in business administration. Day release at a local college will also form part of the apprenticeship.

Applicants should have, or be expected to achieve, five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade A - C  including Mathematics and English (preferably all at grade B or above) and have the ability to rise to the challenge this opportunity presents. They must also satisfy the requirements for the Government’s Apprenticeship Scheme see: http://www.apprenticeships.org.uk/.

This full-time apprenticeship is available from September 2017 and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of two years. Throughout the programme support is provided by Professional Development and the successful candidate will be allocated a mentor within the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science. During your time at the University you will be able to take part in a wide range of University activities. The University offers a range of benefits, including discounted bus and train travel for employees.
