The University library has an opportunity available at the Library & Learning Commons, working as part of the Client Services and Support Team. This team provides front line services for the library as well supporting the delivery of the high demand course collection materials at the Avenue Campus.
The position is user facing so all candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and enhancing the user experience. The successful candidate will be reliable and flexible with a positive attitude to service and personal development. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently without direct supervision. Experience of using standard office software for administrative tasks is also essential with search skills and the ability to work with databases is highly relevant to this role.
The posts are primarily based at the Library and Learning Commons although the post holder will be expected to work flexibly by working at other sites by arrangement.
Working hours: 17 hours per week – 30 weeks. This is a term time only position so holidays will be paid as part of hours. The position is fixed term maternity cover. The working pattern is: Wednesday: 15.30- 19.30 Thursday: 14.00-19.30 Saturday 13.00-17.00 Sunday 10.00-13.30.
