The School of Business, Management and Economics (BMEc) is seeking to appoint a Projects Officer to manage its accreditation processes with EQUIS, AACSB and Athena Swan.
The school has a range of professional accreditations including, ACCA, CILT, CIMA, CIPD and ICAEW and is ranked:-
- 4th for Accounting and Finance
- 6th for Economics
- 9th for Business Studies in the UK.
The Projects Officer - Accreditations is a new role and will provide high-level project management support to the Deputy Head of School, Head of School and School Management Team and senior colleagues within the School to initiate and coordinate accreditation activity.
The role holder will work closely with the School Administrator and School Manager to ensure that accreditation and quality is embedded in the Schools’ governance processes and is in line with the School’s commitment to continuous improvement.
The Project Officer will have responsibility for allocating project tasks to academic and administrative colleagues and overseeing their effective delivery and will have line management for an Accreditations Coordinator and Clerical Assistant.
We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic and well-organised administrator, who is an effective team member, with proven project management skills. The ability to take a lead, manage projects and staff, and work effectively under pressure, will be essential.
The successful candidate will be a skilled negotiator, displaying initiative, flexibility and effective communication, both orally and in writing. A high level knowledge of Microsoft packages, especially Excel, is also important.
