The Research Services team is seeking to appoint a Service Design & User Experience Manager to create a coherent, compelling user experience for British Library services for researchers using the Library onsite in our Reading Rooms and online via our website www.bl.uk and other channels. This role will commission reviews of user experience; procure and manage usability testing by external agencies and/or conduct some testing themselves; manage outsourced/internal design development and implementation; and oversee technical projects with a strong user experience element.
Successful applicants will have a strong track record of service design for onsite and online services, ideally in a research library/information service setting, and be highly skilled in commissioning and conducting user experience studies. You will also be experienced in stakeholder management and working with and through others, be highly organised, and have excellent communication and presentation skills.
