This permanent full-time position represents a chance to join and significantly shape a collaborative and growing team in Cyber Security teaching and research.

You will collaborate with staff from a wide range of disciplines to design and deliver technical engineering papers in both an undergraduate and postgraduate programme in cyber security. You will also be able to mentor and nurture a new team of junior staff and thesis students, and enjoy working alongside both academic and professional colleagues to achieve meaningful change.

We have very strong links with Carnegie-Mellon University, and look to adopt and extend their multidisciplinary approach to cyber security training and research. In collaboration with an industry partner, VUW will host a CSIRT that will be accessible to our students and will inform our research direction.
