Part Time Post: 18.125 hours per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who wants to work within a creative and dynamic Digital Services Team to help ensure that our systems and resources continue to meet the needs of our academic community.
Library & Student Services strives to be innovative, inclusive and anticipatory in the delivery of integrated services, which enable and empower students to realise their full academic potential. Digital Services is responsible for ensuring that the Library systems are resilient, that they meet the changing needs of the University, its staff and students, and that electronic information resources are created, described, discoverable, managed, used and copyright compliant.
Reporting to the Systems & Discovery Manager, the Electronic Resources Officer will support the effective delivery of information systems and resources. Ensuring that academic staff and students can access and discover resources when, where and how they want to now and anticipating future needs. Specifically they will be responsible for the electronic resource management services, including the development, operations, maintenance, discoverability and access to electronic resources.
The Library & Student Services seeks to continually improve services. The role requires flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills and knowledge. The University actively encourages staff development and training. The post holder is expected to participate in a programme of continuous development to ensure the effective performance of duties assigned to the post and to meet institutional and personal goals as agreed with line managers.
