London South Bank University (LSBU) is one of London's largest and oldest universities with over 25,000 students and 1,900 staff. The University has a large and diverse Central London estate portfolio with over 20 buildings totalling 100,000m2 in size. We have invested heavily in our estate over the last 10 years and have ambitious development plans for the future.
Overview
LSBU is committed to a major programme of capital expenditure to rationalise and develop its property portfolio to provide an optimum physical environment for academic activities. Reporting to the Head of Estate Development, the post-holder will play a critical role in supporting the University towards successful delivery of the major capital programme, meeting the required objectives to appropriate time, quality and costs and enabling the realisation of benefits using the appropriate project management tools.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or professional qualification and proven experience in all aspects of the delivery of major capital projects. This includes experience of directly procuring and managing a portfolio of construction projects in a lead client side project management role with the ability to take responsibility and accountability for ensuring projects are delivered safely to specification, cost and quality and to programme. You will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a professional approach to proactively working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
This fixed term (5 year) post is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is keen to progress their career in a client side programme leadership role on an ambitious development programme across a diverse, mixed-use Central London estate portfolio.
