The Company

Fuwah International Group is a leading high-end commercial real estate developer headquartered in Beijing, China. As one of the largest Chinese investments in New Zealand infrastructure, Fuwah will invest around $200 million in the project of Park Hyatt Auckland. Meanwhile, Fuwah has commenced the second project which will have a significant residential element and also the potential for further projects both in NZ and Australia. Now an outstanding opportunity has arisen for a financial role to add value to our New Zealand business. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

    1.ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

  • Process all main Contractor, consultants and creditors' invoices, including receipt of invoice, matching to approval memos and payment application orders in OA, obtaining authorisation, entering Xero.
  • Reconcile all monthly statements and accounts and follow up on any invoices not received for payment.
  • Run the 20th of the month creditors' direct credit schedule, obtain payment authorisation and ensure payments are made on time.
  • Process all non-20th of the month main Contractor and Consultants payments, including obtaining payment authorisation, entering the Xero, direct credit schedules prepared, and payments made.
  • Process all employees’ expenses claims, enter Xero and prepare payment cheques.
  • File all Creditors invoices and employee expense claims.
  • Prepare monthly contract payment schedule and details of each project
  • Responsible for Creditors filing and storage

    2.ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE & CREDIT CONTROL

  • Issue Debtor invoices based on the information Property Management team provide.
  • Enter Debtor Receipts daily into Xero.
  • All unpaid Debtors invoices on designated ledges are followed up for payment, including calling the client to discuss payment of invoices, or payment options.
  • Client notes are entered in Xero regarding all actions taken to recover outstanding Debtors payments.

  • 3. Reporting
  • Responsible for maintenance and ongoing development and enhancement of Individual company financial reporting templates
  •  
  • 4. Taxation
  • Prepare of monthly GST return of the project
  • Prepare monthly summary tax report of the project
  •  
  • 5. Project
  • Prepare monthly contract payment schedule and details of the project
  • Attend regular meeting with project team to understand project progress
  • Assist project team on contract and VO tracking
  •  
  • 6.Financial and Management Accounting
  • Responsible for preparing monthly bank reconciliation report
  • Responsible for maintenance monthly accruals and GL reconciliation report
  • Responsible for maintenance monthly Actual vs Budget of the project
  •  
  • 7. ASSISTANCE AS REQUIRED BY Finance Manager
  • Available to assist Finance Manager as required for any ad hoc Finance jobs

REQUIREMENTS

Qualification:

Tertiary qualification in Accounting is required.

Experience:

3-5 years NZ corporate financial accounting experience

Project development experience preferred

Knowledge:

Accounts Payable

Accounts Receivable

Payroll Maintenance

General tax preparation

International Financial Reporting Standards

Skills:

Good understanding of accounting procedures

Proficient in using computerised accounting systems, Microsoft Office, including Excel

Good Planning, Organisation and Time Management

Good Written and Verbal Communication in both English and Chinese
