We are seeking an energetic, motivated and reliable person who has the maturity and drive in the delivery of our events nationally.
This is a physical hands on role, working along side our Event Operations Manager, building and installing decor for events while directing a team.
The focus of this role is the daily operation of the business installing and packing out decor for events whilst ensuring the highest quality of event delivery to the company's clients, whilst maximising profitability and meeting our clients needs and expectations.
You will have event operations experience, and/or a background within the hospitality industry, along with proven customer service and acute attention to detail.
You will have a flair for logistics with a high-energy can-do attitude. We are looking for an operational star who has a practical approach to their work, a logical mind, with strong initiative.
Key responsibilities include,
-Physical hands on role, setting up, packing out and prepping equipment for events. 95% time prepping , onsite setting up or packing out, 5% admin/planning.
-Planning and the implementation of event set ups and pack downs alongside our Operations Manager
-Rostering of event staff alongside our Operations Manager
-Hands on Supervision, direction and training of casual and part time team members
-Checking and preparing all equipment prior to set up and post event
-Manage, liase and build positive relationships with Suppliers, Venues, Caterers and other event contractors involved in our events
-Manage client expectations on delivery of the event
-Manage costs in line with the operations budget to ensure best practices
-Repair and maintenance of inventory as inline with procedures
-Stock takes and inventory management
Key attributes of the successful candidate include:
-Strong ability to multitask, with several tasks on the go at one time while meeting extremely tight deadlines and pressures
- Proven computer literacy
- An independent worker who is friendly and fun with the ability to work within the small but dynamic team
- Strong people skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with Clients, Staff and industry peers
- You will be rostered to work shift work with varied work times each week, including midnight packouts and weekends
- Fit and happy disposition
- Reliable, professional and motivated
NZ Full Drivers licence and ability to drive manual vehicles/vans essential.
