The Role: What This Opportunity's All About
Looking for more meaningful work in the hospitality industry? Burwood Hospital are currently looking for reliable, punctual and motivated Kitchen Assistants to join our team on a casual basis, working across seven days per week as and when required.
Our kitchen assistants are responsible for carrying out general kitchen and cleaning duties, washing dishes, preparing and presenting food and providing great customer service.

- Excellent communication skills
- Have previous food preparation experience
- Passionate about serving great food, customer service and quality
For the Kitchen Assistants/Cooks - Experience working in a similar position and a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167) is desirable but not essential.
We have casual positions available - therefore the hours are not guaranteed, so we are ideally looking for candidates who are flexible and adaptable in their hours and able to flex up to cover planned and unplanned staff leave when required.
For training purposes we need candidates to be available to work daylight hours (0630 - 1900) - once you are competent in your role you would be eligible for working shifts outside of these hours.
*Note: to apply for this position you must be available to work weekends between 0630 - 1900.
