Experience the luxury of Tram 411. Ride the 36 seat air-conditioned, colonial style dining tram and be treated to the finest service, cuisine and beverages New Zealand has to offer. Built in Melbourne, Australia in 1927. The tram was refurbished and began operating as the Christchurch Tramway Restaurant in 2000.
We are now looking for a top chef so we can continue to delight the people of Christchurch and our local and overseas visitors.
Paying $23 per hour and working afternoon-shift, starting at 2 pm. A five day work week with two days off in a row.
Strong responsibilities and attributes for this position are:
- Passionate about food - keeping up with local and global food trends will be second nature to you.
- Working well both individually and as part of a team particularly during the very busy summer period.
- Being comfortable managing quality production with a high level of consistency and creativity.
- Taking responsibility for food preparation, a high standard of presentation, and the quality and quantity of food as required.
- Having the skills to ensure that all food achieves a high standard of customer satisfaction and profitability.
If you possess strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work well with other kitchen staff and you are prepared to own what you do, then this is for you.
