About the business and the role

The newly refurbished 5* Grand Mercure Auckland, located in the heart of Auckland CBD, is looking for an energetic and professional Guest services Agent to join the Front Office Team where no two days are the same. 

The role covers welcoming guests, checking in and checking out guests, working with Porters and providing exceptional levels of customer service. 

The successful candidate will have an engaging personality and can provide that 5 star service with every interaction.

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Excellent command of spoken English
  • Experience with Opera PMS system advantageous
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Well presented, confident and highly organized
  • Thorough knowledge of Auckland CBD and outer areas
  • Flexibility of availability e.g. Weekends and public holidays
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand for a minimum of 12 months
