About the role

Grand Millennium Hotel, Auckland is looking for an experienced Front Office Manager to lead an enthusiastic and diligent team of professionals. This position requires someone with drive to develop the Front Office Team.  You will work closely with the Executive Assistant Manager and other departmental heads within the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth and efficient overall day-to-day operations of the Front Desk
  • Provide excellent customer service as per hotel and MCK standards
  • Assist guests with any enquiries, reservations and housekeeping requests
  • Lead and manage a large team, including Reception and Concierge
  • Ensure team is adhering to company policies, procedures and standards to ensure that guest expectations are exceeded.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years Front Office experience in a similar hotel, 4.5star plus
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A proven track record of training and developing staff
  • Proactive and able to resolve issues confidently and methodically
  • Strong numerical and accounting skills
  • Ability to manage and exceed service standards
  • Flexibility to work shifts including weekends
  • A sound understanding of Opera PMS would be advantageous along with experience in a managerial position
  • Full clean NZ drivers licence is essential
  • Must hold a current General Managers licence
