Wairakei Resort is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager who will oversee and manage our very busy and fast paced Food & Beverage Department and be the driving force and integral part of our Hotel Operation and Management Team.   

You will be responsible for performing the following tasks –

• Managing all areas of Food & Beverage with focus on customer service, guest satisfaction and presentation of all Food & Beverage Outlets.
• Create a culture of high-level customer engagement to ensure full guest satisfaction and maintain high quality customer experiences.
• Provide progressive and ongoing training and development of employees.

• Be responsible for rostering, wage costs, stocktaking and staff levels while staying within budget guidelines and while maintaining efficiency in the department.
• Maintaining good communications and work relationships in the Hotel and with external customers and suppliers.
• Ensure the compliance with all hotel rules, health and safety, hygiene regulations and emergency procedures are adhered to within the department.

What we are looking for –

• Experience – Hospitality Management Qualification / minimum 3 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager or 2 years as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or 1 year as Food & Beverage Operations Manager in a branded or boutique Hotel.
• Good knowledge and true passion about food & beverage products including  good knowledge  on trends and concepts in the market place.
• Excellent leadership skills and strong-communication skills – written and verbal.
• Has ability to work under pressure while being task driven with excellent time management skills.
• Has strong creativity and ability to think outside the square
• Good understanding of Health and Safety Regulations.
• Basic understanding of Employment Law.
