Postmasters is one of Arrowtowns iconic buildings. The town and the premises are steeped in history, this is something we are very proud of and feel it is important to preserve in conjunction with the modern world. Postmasters is a popular restaurant catering for all ages and diets. We offer a range of food and beverage options from breakfast, lunch, dinner, all day coffee and cake service to private functions.
You will be working closely alongside the Owners, learning our culture and ensuring this is met at all times. In order to fulfil the role, you must be able to:
- Manage bookings and walk ins to create a consistent flow.
- Management/deployment of staff throughout shift.
- Ensure our high standards in customer service and cleanliness of restaurant are maintained in a fast paced environment.
- Talk knowledgeably to customers about our food and beverage options.
- Follow direction as well as work independently.
- Hire, train and develop other members of the team.
- Plan and execute special functions.
- Ensure all stock is ordered / rotated as necessary.
You will be responsible for the running of Front of House, therefore, you will have experience in all areas of Front of House and always be able to lead by example within any role. We require a provable track record of your ability in a similar role. Fluency in English is a must and NZ residency or a valid work visa is essential.
