About the role

·              Manage the monthly financial reporting timetable ensuring that the financial reporting timetable is adhered to and all Board, Audit and Risk Committee, and monthly reporting is completed accurately and to a high standard.

·              Manage the annual financial statements preparation and annual audit process

·              Manage all aspects of financial and reporting systems support and development.  Including being the primary point of contact for all issues with our core financial systems.  (Workbench, Sharperlight and SAP)

·              Manage the preparation of the annual budget / strategic plan and rolling forecasts for the group

·              Monitor and report performance against budgets and forecasts

·              Manage the payroll function for the group

·              Provide advice and support to HR on the financial implications of employment related matters.

·              Develop, maintain and communicate financial policies and procedures as required

·              Manage the accurate and timely preparation of all tax returns, including income tax, FBT, GST, PAYE and ACC returns, ensuring the minimum amount of tax is paid consistent with our legal obligations

·              Manage the annual insurance review to ensure appropriate insurances are in place and co-ordinate all insurance claims.

·              Establish and maintain appropriate financial controls including balance sheet accounts reconciliations, compliance registers, master data change reviews (e.g. bank accounts), and transaction processing reviews.

·              Manage cashflows to ensure sufficient cash is available, taking into account bonding requirements and other business opportunities, and ensure maximisation of return on funds employed
